Savage Man in Central Africa was 1st published in 1915 two years after the death of the author Adolphe Louis Cureau. It was a study of Primitive Races in the French Congo. It was translated by E. Andrews. It is considered to be an important study of the indigenous cultures and customs of the French Congo and an important anthropological study of the people of the Congo at the beginning of the 20th century.
